Job Title: General Insurance Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Job Purpose:

The General Insurance SME will work closely with product teams, Sales/Pre-Sales, and clients to offer expert insights into general insurance products and processes. Will showcase the solution's capabilities to clients, ensuring their satisfaction with the system's features

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 15+ years of experience in the general insurance industry, with knowledge of various lines of business such as Motor, Travel,  health, Fire/ Property, Casualty, Marine, liability, engineering, miscellaneous insurance etc.
    • Proven experience in working with or supporting general insurance systems or solutions.
  • IT Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with general insurance software, policy administration systems, claims management solutions, and insurance workflows.
    • Understanding of system integration and architecture as it pertains to insurance operations.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Ability to analyze complex business requirements and propose technical solutions that meet industry standards.
    • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address challenges in insurance workflows and processes.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise between IT teams and non-technical stakeholders, including clients.
    • Ability to explain technical concepts in a way that non-technical professionals can understand.
  • Documentation Skills : Work with Pre-Sales, Sales and Product team to prepare the RFI/RFP/Proposal preparation and presentation preparation for the proposal.
  • Regulatory Knowledge:
    • In-depth knowledge of general insurance regulations, including licensing, solvency, claims management, and anti-fraud measures.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's/ master’s degree in insurance, Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Insurance certifications are a plus.

Justification:
 

Candidate should possess good communication skills, general insurance product & functional knowledge and also to understand the technical details of the products and solutions
