Job Summary
The Power Platform Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform components — Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven), Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop), and Power Pages — integrated with data sources such as Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, and SAP.
The role requires strong hands-on experience in low-code automation, workflow optimization, and user interface design with adherence to best practices, governance, and security compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop Canvas Apps, Model-driven Apps, and Power Pages portals to automate business processes and enhance user experiences.
• Build, configure, and optimize Power Automate Flows (Cloud and Desktop) for process automation, approvals, and integrations with external systems (SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, D365, SAP, etc.).
• Create and manage Dataverse tables, relationships, and business rules to support app and flow logic.
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with third-party APIs, custom connectors, and on-premises data gateways.
• Design secure and responsive Power Pages portals for internal/external stakeholders, ensuring role-based access control and authentication (Azure AD, OAuth, etc.).
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Architects to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications and functional solutions.
• Implement error handling, logging, and version control in flows and apps.
• Conduct unit testing, SIT/UAT support, and deploy solutions across environments (Dev, UAT, Prod) using Solutions, Pipelines, and ALM principles.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards for governance, security, and data retention policies.
• Provide user training, documentation, and post-deployment support.
Required Skills and Experience
• Strong experience in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse).
• Hands-on experience with Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps including formulas, components, and UI logic.
• Proficiency in Power Automate – building complex approval workflows, integrations, and error-handling.
• Experience in designing Power Pages (formerly Power Apps Portals) including authentication, form customization, and Liquid templates.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, and Excel connectors.
• Experience integrating with REST APIs, HTTP actions, and JSON/XML parsing.
• Familiar with PowerFx, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS for customization.
• Understanding of environment management, ALM, and solution deployment pipelines.
• Knowledge of Power BI, AI Builder, or Copilot Studio (Power Virtual Agents) is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker (PL-100) or Power Platform Developer (PL-400).
• Experience with Azure AD, Azure Logic Apps, or Azure Functions.
• Exposure to RPA tools (e.g., UiPath) or IDP platforms (ABBYY, Copilot Document Processor) preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology, DevOps pipelines, and Git-based version control.
